Assistant Media Negotiator
Media Buying

Our buying department is hiring an assistant media negotiator to join the team. This role supports one (or two) media negotiators in their day-to-day buying airtime in their assigned broadcast/cable networks. The assistant media navigator assists with the preliminary research on availability of airtime and rates. We are looking for a curious, self-motivated, well-organized multitasker who likes working with numbers. Some advertising/media experience is helpful, but not required. We are excited to train an assistant media negotiator who wants to grow in the agency.

• Work closely under senior media negotiators to provide support in negotiating media rates and securing advertising for our clients
• Enter insertion orders into our system, and confirm orders with station reps
• Enter media rates, solve media discrepancies, update internal data
• Reach out for missing pre-logs/ post-logs
• Pull daily reports and Nielsen ratings
• Answer missing traffic questions from reps
• Contact station reps for rates/programming

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Some experience in advertising/media is a plus (internships included)
• Experience working in a deadline focused environment
• Strong mathematical skills: comfortable with numbers and analyzing data
• Highly proficient in Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task while demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and organization
• Ability to collaborate well with staff, clients, and vendors at all levels
• Strong desire to learn and grow

• Base salary: $40,000/year
